My wife has followed this guy for a really long time. Really disappointing, he seemed really genuine. He was full on saying God made him to be a man and stuff like that. But it did come out that he was deceitfully about some stuff way before this... Makes me think of Matthew 13. "But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles." Or the seed was there, but snatched away by "the wicked one." Or there was an element of grift to it, given the deceptions... Shame on his priest for encouraging him in this...
