I left the Methodist church recently when it turned super gay. One of the new rules that was introduced when the rules allowing gay clergy and gay marriage came through was a rule that clergy couldn't be punished for adultery. It sounded very weird. We were given some explanation that involved gay clergy... I never did figure out the exact reason, but at the time, I wondered if it was something like protecting gay male preachers who were married to women but were going to come out and have boyfriends or something like that...
